It was wonderful to be in Naarm/Melbourne for the opening of my exhibition Flux!
I’m proud to be sharing this new body of work, and to have it accompanied by an essay from Dr Anne-Marie Jean, which you can read in full here.
“In the dramatic and intimate monotypes of Flux, Romeyn transports us to a distant Southern realm. Rhythmically detailed and shockingly blue, her works ignite our bodies and imagination, uniting our senses through vision. In Flux, the era of the sublime has passed and in its place is an invitation to proximity. Here an artist’s impression provides poetic witness to an environment that is shaped by human and societal actions, which in turn will shape our futures.” - Dr Anne-Marie Jean
The exhibition is still on display at Flinders Lane Gallery until 31 October.
There is also a virtual tour available here.
